The Book Shop opened in 1923 at Ferozepur on the Indo-Pak border; in 1948, the family moved to Dehradun to set up the iconic bookstore in the city's heart, and the cafe was added in 2002. In 2010, EBD acquired Book Cafe, adding value to the book-buying experience with books, coffee and more.
In 2020, the Learning Forward India Foundation
